How to create the perfect Business Listing
Below is a screenshot of the MyCarPal sample listing. It has all the various features you can have on your listing. We have outlined the main items here and give you tips and advice on how best to supply images and information to get the most out of your listing. No. 1 - Featured Image
This is the main image that will go at the top of your business listing. It will also appear in search results for your business along with your logo. If you are taking images on your iPhone or android device for this, turn it sideways (landscape) as this shape of image works best for this space. Avoid square or portrait images for this.
No. 2 - Your Logo
Ideally you will have a business logo to represent your business online. It can be square/portrait or landscape in orientation if you like although square and landscape versions work best.
No. 3 - Your Keywords or Specialities
The search facility within the website in general searches your page for terms that the user is looking for. You may have certain phrases that you specifically want to appear under which possible are not mentioned in the category fields. We have given you an opportunity to mention 3 phrases here which highlight your niche or speciality.
No. 3 - Contact Details & Location
We use Geo-Location technology to locate the users position so they can find businesses near them. So enter the location of your business in the business address field, also you will have an opportunity to fill out your contact number, email, website, social media links. Everything you will need to help people get in touch with you FAST!
No. 4 - Business Information
This is your opportunity to tell the user what you do, what you do better than others and why they should choose you. The content of this information is used in the search criteria so make sure you use words and phrases that people will be searching for that are unique to your trade.
No. 5 - Image Gallery
Good images of your business are a must in the digital age. They create trust that the users business is in safe hands. These images can be any orientation so if you are taking images with your iPhone or android device, you can take them in selfie or landscape. you can upload as many as you like.
